It wasn’t always so bright and sunny. LePayne had to endure the Great Depression, as well as the death of her seven-year-old son. Her husband died shortly thereafter.
LePayne treasures her family, who enjoy spending time with her. Asked about her favorite hobbies, the elderly woman laughed. She laughed and said, “What do I like to do? «I don’t want to do anything right now.»

LePayne lived in New York for 66 years before moving to Oviedo 41 years ago. His family has always vacationed in Oviedo, so moving there seemed natural to him.
Parents from North Carolina, Missouri, Tennessee, Illinois and New York came to his birthday party to share wonderful memories together.
